The Church of St. Mary Magdalene

The modern church of Mary Magdalene is located in the courtyard of the Children's Polyclinic № 1 in the city of Kiev. The temple is in the house where the famous poet and composer Alexander Vertinsky used to live and work. At the beginning of the 20th century, there were only 3 churches of Equal-to-the-Apostles Mary Magdalene in Kyiv.

The first church on Shulyavka was destroyed in the 1930s, and in its place a school was built, two more churches at the orphanage and at the gymnasium for women also suffered during the revolution.

In the near future it is planned to build a large pentagonal church on Shulyavka, where the temple used to be. For this, the Kiev society of Mary Magdalene collects signatures and negotiates with officials of Kiev.
