Lyantskoronsky Palace, Komarno
Many tourists, wanting to relax from noisy and large cities, choose a leisurely journey through small towns, which were once the centers of princely twists and turns.
One of these towns is Komarno. The first mention of it occurs in 1471. Here once ruled the mighty Lyantskoronsky family. In Komarno you can see the most interesting architectural buildingsbelonging to this family.
On the outskirts of the city there are the ruins of the old Lanckoronsky castle. The foundation of the estate was laid in the 18th century. The building is in classical style. The castle was distinguished by its simplicity outside and rich interior decoration. The last owner of the castle was Countess Caroline Lanckoronskaya. Later, the Polish school was located in the manor building.
During the Second World War, the building suffered very badly. Some buildings were burned to the ground. Now the ruins of the castleare surrounded by a park that has run wild for years of oblivion. But this place still attracts dozens of tourists every year. The castle is fraught with many secrets. And the wind hums tourists songs about the former glory of the palace, about the victories and defeats of valiant soldiers for freedom.
Also in the territory of Ukraine, other palaces of the Lanckoronski, for example, the residence in Tartakow, have been preserved.
