St. George's Church, Vladimir-Volynsky
St. George's Church in Vladimir-Volynsky is most interesting with a history of its origin. The church was built for the Black Sea naval regiment, which lived in Vladimir. It was founded in 1900 by the decision of the military ministry of the Russian Empire. The architecture of the building fully corresponds to the general plans for the construction of military churches in the early 20th century. A temple of red brick is built, it has a front entrance and a bell tower. Interior decoration - church paintings, which have survived to this day. The patron saint of the church is George the Victorious, revered on the Ukrainian lands as the patron of all warriors.
During the Soviet era, the church was closed and converted into a House of Officers. Then it again acquired the status of an active church. Now St. George's Church is one of the most interesting historical and cultural sites ofVladimir-Volynsky.
