Navodnitsky Park (Park named after V. M. Primakov)
Metro - bridge - Naberezhnoe highway. The park, formerly bore the name of the Soviet commander V.M. Primakova, has an area of more than 11.2 hectares and a length of about 750 meters. Closer to the Paton Bridge there is Rocky garden, full of observation platforms and various decorative slides.
In the park is located famous monument to the founders of Kiev: Kiyu, Shchek, Khoryv and their sister Lybid in the boat. The foot of the pedestal has a pool, creating the impression of a floating boat. It is rumored that it was Lybid who inspired the director Steven Spielberg when creating the scene from the movie "Titanic". The wedding processions are liked to come to the monument and photographed against its background. In addition, there is a sign: if the newlyweds, standing with their backs to the symbol of Kiev, will throw a wedding bouquet exactly in a rook, then their family life will be long and happy.
In addition to the bust of Primakov, the park is set Stone in honor of the 60th anniversary of the United Nations (UN). Another memorable sign installed in the park in 2007 is a cross on the site of the construction of the church in honor of St. Prince Vladimir Equal-to-the-Apostles. In the park there is a wooden Orthodox church of the Moscow Patriarchate.
