Church of St. Anne (Bar)
The temple was built in 1811. According to historical data, the church was created for the sacred Order of Dominicans, so popular among Western Catholics of the 18th century. For many years this part of the Vinnytsia region was under the rule of the Polish nobility, which managed to root the Catholic faith in the local lands, which explains the architectural style of this temple, as well as other shrines of Bar.
The church of St. Anne has a truly legendary history, which dates back to the Middle Ages. It is believed that back in the 1500s, the church was already in place, which was later enlarged and rebuilt. Presumably, the church could have another name - St. Nicholas. Since then, many changes have been made to the internal structure of the temple and its external appearance. A modern look he acquired in 1908. Today the church is open to all parishioners.
Guests of the city can also visit the ancient Carmelite monastery, founded in 1616, and see the remains of fortress walls in the city park.
