Stone women, Dnepropetrovsk.

Stone women - old statues, humanoid statues. Representatives of ancient peoples established them on the mounds. A large number of statues were found in the east of Ukraine, in the steppes of Russia, Southern Siberia, Azerbaijan, Germany, Mongolia and Central Asia.

At the Dnipropetrovsk Historical Museum named after Dmitry Yavornytsky today you can see the most rich in Ukraine collection of stone women. The collection includes unique exhibits of the Neolithic Age, analogues of which are not found in any museum in Europe. Most of the collection is made up of Polovtsian statues dating from the 12th and 13th centuries.
