All this natural heritage is guarded, studied and multiplied by the employees of the National Park "Synevyr".
In the park, tourist destinations have been created, ecological and scientific-recreational paths, horse and bike routes, recreation and fishing areas, parking lots have been developed. The management of the park is located near the village of Ozeranka.
The Carpathian mountains are accompanied by mountain rivers and tall pine trees. Mountain slopes are neatly guarded by wooden fences. You will see neat little wooden houses with spring water, small chapels. It is worth looking into the unique Museum of Forest and Alloy, which is on the river Chernaya. It is a wooden dam 80 meters long, which was once melted down by the forest. Nearby there is a kolyba where you can stop and relax. Also you will get acquainted with the profession of rafts, rafters of the forest.
Another architectural pearl is the Greek Catholic Church in the village of Kolochava-Gorb. It was built in the 16th century without a single nail! Visiting the Historical and Ethnographic Museum of Ivan Olbracht in the village of Kolochava, you will have an opportunity to get acquainted with the life and customs of the local population.
For connoisseurs of good fishing, the Tereblya-Rik reservoir, where, besides trout, there are many other valuable fish, will like it. There you can rent gear. Going to the original sources of the river Tereblya, you will see the most valuable treasure of the park - Lake Sinevir. There is a sad and at the same time touching story of the origin of this lake. The legend tells of the girl Xin and the poor guy Vire, who loved each other and wanted to get married. Father Xin was against this marriage. He ordered his subordinates to catch Vir and throw from a high mountain. The young man perished, turning into stone. Xin, learning about the death of a loved one, embraced the stone and began to cry bitterly. From her tears formed a beautiful lake, and in the middle stood a stone island. Today Synevyr is also called the Sea Eye, because the island, located in the center of the lake, resembles the apple of a big blue eye.
Every year in Sinevir in the middle of August from many parts of Ukraine and abroad many people come to visit the folklore festival "On the Synevyr the trembits are called. "Here you can see performances by musicians, exhibitions of folk arts and crafts, take part in exciting cheerful culinary competitions. Dressed in traditional Ukrainian clothes, men and women will gladly invite you to try homemade brynza or gorilka for lightly carrot mushrooms. Do not miss this event!
