Monument to Mikhail Lomonosov

Mikhail Vasilyevich Lomonosov is a famous Russian natural scientist, historian, artist and poet. Monument to Lomonosov in Dnepropetrovsk was opened in 1971. On the pedestal, where a monument to a scientist was erected, there was a statue of Catherine II before the October Revolution.

Not far from the monument you can see the monument to Dmitry Yavornytsky, the monument to General Yefim Pushkin, the famous obelisk "Verst mile", as well as the Transfiguration Cathedral.
