Oleksa Novakivsky's Art Memorial Museum
The Oleksa Novakivsky Museum is located in the city of Lviv not far from the Kulchytska Art and Memorial Museum. The museum was opened in the workshop and apartment of a famous Ukrainian artist in 1972. Here he worked for more than 20 years, he founded the first private art school in Galicia.

The museum was opened in the workshop and apartment of a famous Ukrainian artist in 1972. Here he worked for more than 20 years, he founded the first private art school in Galicia. The house was built in the late 19th century and is a historical and cultural monument. The exhibition introduces the stages of life and work of the artist. Incredible canvases, their themes, philosophical reflections on the meaning of human life characterize the artist as an incredibly creative and subtle human being.
The first room contains early workswritten during his studies at the Krakow Academy of Arts and the next ten years. A striking example of his works of that time is "Self-portrait". It depicts a young artist, energetic and enthusiastic. There is a slight mood of the creator and his enthusiasm for impressionistic painting. In the second room are samples of the late period of the artist's work, among which the work "Dovbush - the lord of the mountains" is especially worth noting.
Each work is saturated with energy, the handwriting and color palette can discern the mood of the artist in different periods of life.
