Hundreds of castles, which are 500 - 600 years old, are in Ukraine! It is more correct to even call them castles-fortresses, because where princes and kings erected defensive structures, houses of the owners were necessarily built. We offer you a short excursion to the most beautiful fortifications of the country
Satan's Castle
Only walls remained from the building. But they also look majestic: their thickness — 1.5 meters! The castle was built by Polish noblemen in the 15th century. Two centuries later, it decayed because of the frequent raids of the Tatars. But the fortress was rebuilt, and in the XX century turned (or rather rebuilt) into a sugar factory. However, it did not last long, and now tourists can safely enjoy the angular towers.

It can be seen that it was partially restored, but on the general mood this has little effect. No less impressive is the view from here to the river and the Carpathians. If you want, you can even see the border with Slovakia. But back to the castle walls. There is a legend that for their erection a solution was used with the addition of egg whites and milk. The local population was forced to take these products for construction of the fortress. The cruel mistress of the castle seemed to be a little: she demanded to take breast milk, and babies began to die in the district. The story ended when the evil maiden was chopped off. They say that her ghost still wanders among the ruins.
