14 photos won in the contest of travel-photographers National Geographic
Voting in the National Geographic 2017 Travel Photographer competition has come to an end, and the time to announce the winners. This annual photo competition is one of the most authoritative in the world. It is intended to emphasize the diversity of our planet, reflected in its inhabitants and the wonders of nature. From year to year, the winners of the contest continue to win the hearts of millions of viewers around the world.
The judges had a hard time: 15 000 entries from travelers from all corners of the Earth and only three nominations - m. nature, people and cities. The most important prize went to Sergio Tapiro Velasco from Mexico for his magnificent shot of a lightning bolt through a cloud of ash above the volcano. This photo, respectively, became the best in the section "Nature".
Best in category & laquo; Cities & raquo; became Norbert Fritz from Hungary with a photograph of the "Reading Levels", and the Turk F. Dilek Uyar won the prize in the category "People & raquo; from photographs called "Worship."
Winners who won first, second and third place in each nomination received cash awards of $ 2,500, $ 750 and $ 500. In addition, Velasco, who received the Grand Prix, will go on a 10-day trip to the Galapagos Archipelago with the National Geographic expedition.
