Ryno One-Wheel Motorcycle

Here’s where technology has come to – they’ve even invented a one-wheeled motorcycle. The idea for this “steel horse” actually originated with American engineer Chris Goffman. The working principle of the one-wheeled Ryno is very similar to that of the self-balancing electric segway, which was invented in 2001.

The Ryno Micro-Cycle is powered by an electric battery.

Segway.

The only advantage of the Ryno Micro-Cycle over a Segway is that it allows people to sit on it. Powered by an electric battery, it can reach a speed of up to 28 kilometers per hour. The battery is designed in such a way that one charge is enough to cover a distance of approximately 50 kilometers.

It’s even very stylish.

In motion.

The Ryno is a real lifesaver in traffic jams.

Chris Goffman spent over 5 years developing the Ryno Micro-Cycle. It is currently in active testing, and mass production is scheduled for 2012. This electric motorcycle is mainly aimed at ordinary consumers and is likely to be very popular among police officers, just like Segways. For now, the price of the prototype is $25,000, and Goffman has already received five orders. It is expected that the price will drop to $3,500 after mass production begins.
