Active rest in Yaremche
The city of Yaremche is considered to be the gateway to the Carpathians. Through this small district center lies the way of tourists to Hoverla, Mount Pop Ivan, Gutem Tomnatek, the beautiful lakes of Nesamovite and Svityaz. Often Yaremche becomes the starting point of all mountain ascents.
But Yaremche is not a transit point. This is a full-fledged western Ukrainian town in Ivano-Frankivsk region, which is known throughout Europe for its unique healing climate, ancient history and unmatched architectural structures. Examples of the latter are constantly found on tourist postcards and pictures showing the charm of rest in the Carpathians.
The town of Yaremche is located at an altitude of 560 meters at sea level. Despite the fact that it is located in the middle of the Carpathian Mountains, it's very easy to get to the mountain resort - the distance from Ivano-Frankivsk to Yaremche is only 65 km. By carpathian pearl daily buses and minibuses, and from Lviv can be reached by the Lviv-Rakhiv train.
Yarema Godovanets settled in this territory of modern Yaremche 200 years ago, an ordinary Hutsul who later gave his name to one of the most beautiful places in Ukraine. For 2 centuries the town grew from 1 family to 10 thousand people. Today Yaremche consists of 1 central street and a myriad of streets and lanes that end deep in the mountains. Each street is filled with boarding houses, sanatoriums, kolyba, restaurants and even campsites. Therefore, there are simply no difficulties with settlement in Yaremche.
What attracts a small town with one street, tens of thousands of tourists from all over the world who come here every year? The answer lies on the surface - it is not only a pristine nature, majestic mountains and healing clean air, but also the famous Hutsul color, which makes one time to come to Yaremche, and always come back here.

Yaremche, like most of the Carpathian resorts - is a year-round holiday destination, which helps realize dreams of calm countryside relaxation. Winter Yaremche is the Mecca of all fans of mountain skiing, and the summer city is a real quiet place for a family adrenaline holiday.
In addition to numerous excursions to the town itself, in summer and winter, Yaremche travel agencies conduct pedestrian, bicycle (spring-summer-autumn) and auto-tours to Hoverla, Dovbush Rocks, Bukovel, Kolomyia, Shatsky Lakes and numerous waterfalls, as well as in the Kamenets-Podolsky. The cost of such excursions depends on the remoteness of the territory and the type of transport, and is within the range of 100-350 hryvnia.
But if there are only a few days to rest, it's enough to just go out and walk around the city. Yaremche is a museum in the sky. Among the religious buildings, special attention deserves the wooden churches, which are on almost every street. Being a masterpiece of Hutsul sacred architecture, the most fascinating is the Church of the Holy Prophet Elijah, built in 1938. Like all the churches of the town, it was built without a single nail, and for its extraordinary and historical value was included in UNESCO's cultural heritage.

The value of the church was an atypical oval iconostasis with icons painted by the method of burning and decorated with carvings.

No person who has visited Yaremche misses the opportunity to visit the energetically strong place of this region - the waterfall of Proby. The waterfall rustles among the numerous canyons of the Prut, cascades of rapids and shallow waterfalls. The height of Probya is 8 meters, and at an altitude of 20 meters above the surface of the water there is a tourist bridge.

Being near the waterfall, you can gain strength and hope, and leave the rest of the problems and anxieties near the pond.
Another colorful sight of Yaremche is the bazaar. It is not far from Pribia, and from here it is impossible to leave empty-handed - embroideries and pysankas, pottery and pottery, towels and Hutsul jewelry. All purchases are the best souvenirs for oneself and relatives.
