Rosetta - a ten-year space journey
Ten years ago, the European Space Agency sent to space an aircraft that, for the first time in history, entered the orbit of a comet. In this case, comet 67R or comet Churyumov - Gerasimenko.

For all ten years of her trip, Rosetta has given our astronomers many useful and rare images, as well as a lot of corrective information. In the summer of this year, the spacecraft transmitted the first data relating to the comet 67P, and in November this year, Rosetta is planned to land on the surface of the comet. This event will also be the first in the history of space exploration. At the moment, the spacecraft is at a distance of several dozen kilometers from the surface of the comet. Below, see the most vivid pictures associated with Rosetta. Planting is scheduled for November 11, 2014. The first image is the probe landing object - comet 67P. Next: Earth, Moon, Mars, comets and asteroids, and much more.
