How to have a good rest in Dragobrat?
Dragobrat and Bukovel are the most popular and favorite ski resorts in Ukraine. Excellent infrastructure, high service and a huge variety of routes annually bring here more than half a million tourists from all over the country and Western Europe.
Dragobrat is an excellent alternative to European ski resorts. Accommodation and rental of equipment here is much cheaper than in Zakopane in Poland, and the quality of the trails and their fitness for different types of active winter recreation can be compared only with the Alpine resorts.

Despite such a great popularity of Drag, this is only a small area at an altitude of 1300-1700 meters above sea level. The tourist attraction of this part of the Svidovets mountain range was appreciated even in Soviet times, setting there the first slim lift and erecting the first wooden house without amenities. It was called this building proudly - the hotel. In general, this resort was used by MSU scientists and heads of the Soviets of all ranks. During the Soviet times, Dragobrat was not a very popular resort. The historical originality of these lands and the non-fitness of roads to easy ascent did not attract athletes and holidaymakers here.
The second life of Dragobrat began in 1993, thanks to the former sportsman and the current director of the complex, J. Bedny. In addition to the restoration of the wooden house and the overhaul of the lift, a small number of wooden cottages were built, which became the basis of the modern tourist complex.

Each complex is a synthesis of comfort and adrenaline. A huge number of mini-estates and large hotels, a variety of kolyba, the modernity of trails and equipment - all these are signs of interesting sports leisure in the Carpathians.
Dragobrat is also called paradise for extreme sports. The unique geographical location of the resort between the two mountains - Stoog (1,700 m) and Blyznytsia (1,883 m) allows you to perfect your skills to skiers, snowboarders, freeriders from all over the CIS. This is also facilitated by a large number of shops for leasing equipment. The approximate cost of rent is 70-100 UAH, depending on the sport and the state of things.
Freeride - the movement in Dragobrat is actively gaining momentum. Razborrefnye slopes Stog and Gendarmes capture a sharp transition from puhlyaka to stony rocks. This gives a frenzied adrenaline rush - after all, it is not known which part of the road you will be carried in the next minute. For fans of freeride in Dragobrat, the passenger benches of the snowcat are equipped and a large selection of special equipment and clothes.

With its ski slopes the slopes of Mount Stog are famous. 2 rope tows and several ski analogs bring skiers to the routes of varying complexity - from professional to children. The longest Stoke route in 1.3 km is sure to please experienced skiers, because you can feel such a speed increase and a height difference of 400 meters only in Dragobrat.
Every snowboarder in Dragobrat should try his hand at the snowy virgin land of the Blyznytsya mountain. At least one descent on the track, a length of 3 km - and you are a real pro snowboard.
In addition to sports pastime, Dragobrat is known for its relax program. A huge number of saunas, Carpathian teas and the unique mountain air of the Carpathians, together with active rest, will have a very good effect on the state of the nervous system.
If you are not a fan of outdoor activities, then in Dragobrat there will be entertainment for you. It is worth to climb the Ridge and you will see a panorama of the Carpathian Mountains - Goverla, Petros, Khomyak, Doboshanka, Eastern Gorgans. These unique species are found only in Dragobrat.

The only drawback Dragobrat was transport. High-altitude location of this resort allows you to reach it exclusively on off-road cars. Rent such a car can be in the nearby village of Yasinya Ivano-Frankivsk region. The bus to Dragobrat runs from the same village, but it's rather difficult to find a free place in it.
