Vorokhta is known throughout Ukraine as a door to the popular Carpathian ski resorts. It is impossible to go to Bukovel or Yaremche, and not to pass this small town. Being the center of departure for mountain slopes, Vorokhta is filled with hotels, boarding houses, private mansions and hostels for winter accommodation. In winter, the apple has nowhere to fall.

But Vorokhta is interesting in the summer. The unique composition of the air in these parts contributed to the construction of many recreational pensions. The Prut River and the Carpathian Mountains, surrounded by a small town, make this area the best place for restoring and resting from the city bustle. There are many reasons to choose Vorokhta as a summer holiday resort. We only give 3 of them.

    • It's easy to get to Vorokhta.

This small town is in the center of Lviv-Ivano-Frankivsk transport connection. Every day a train Lviv-Rakhiv comes to the railway station. Also easily accessible by bus, which runs from Ivano-Frankivsk, Yaremche and Bukovel every hour.

When traveling by private transport, it's enough to go to the A265 highway towards Tatariv and follow the highway until the turn to Vorokhta.

    • Vorokhta is a great sightseeing center.

Convenient geographical position gave the residents of Vorokhta carte blanche in the organization of excursions. Climbing the highest mountains of the Carpathians, including Hoverla, rafting and swimming in mountain rivers, biking and horseback riding in historical places and natural monuments are all organized by the Pochtakh tourist agencies.

But even without leaving the territory of the city, you can see so many original places that the impressions will last at least until the next vacation.

Getting to Vorokhta by train, it is impossible to miss the first attraction of this settlement - the railway bridge-viaduct. Among the few surviving specimens, the Vorokhta bridge is considered the longest - 130 meters. It is interesting that the viaduct was built by Austria-Hungary, as part of the route connecting the Black and Adriatic Sea. But the grandiose Hungarian plans were prevented by the First World War, and the bridge with arches 65 meters high still stands.

Walking around the city is difficult not to notice the largest cathedral of Vorokhta - the Birth of the Most Holy Theotokos. Built in the 17th century, the church retained its original appearance and interior decoration, despite minor restorations. According to legend, at the heart of the temple survived a commemorative cross, laid in 1785.

A special position in Vorokhta is occupied by museums. These are not specially collected expositions devoted to the life of the great. Naturally, such a building also exists - the museum of local lore. But in Vorokhta each house is a monument of art. Decorative carving on wood, skilful design of houses and sanatoriums - all this makes Vorokhta a museum in the open air. It is also easy to meet the support of the threshold in the form of a wooden statue of a Hutsul or a shepherd, as in central Ukraine - concrete pillars. Photos with such architectural decorations will be the best storytellers about your rest.

    • Vorokhta is the center of Hutsul culture.

You can fully experience the Hutsul spirit at the Vorokhta fair. It is located in the city center, not far from the bus station. The market in Vorokhta is a mixture of languages, sounds and smells. Here you can hear Ukrainian, Russian, Polish and Hungarian.

But in this small Babylon it's worth to buy the creations of local craftsmen - wool products, hand-embroidered household items, crafts made of wood, and certainly Hutsul's cheese, which will give a delightful note to a banosh or just a sandwich.

Rest in Vorokhta not in season is an opportunity to enjoy Ukrainian history and authenticity, taste truly Ukrainian dishes, restore health and actively spend time with the whole family. To promote this will be interesting walks, delicious dishes in kolyba and Hutsul hospitality.

    1. Catherine's Cathedral is one of the most significant places in Kherson, because the history of its construction is inherently connected with the history of the founding of the city. In 1774, the Russian Empire finally gained control of the Black Sea and in order to consolidate its positions in the Primorye Territory, it was decided to found the city of Kherson. At that time he had a colossal geopolitical significance.

    2. The Dead Lake can be considered useful and dangerous at the same time. A large amount of hydrogen sulphide, which is contained in the waters of the Dead, does not allow the development of life in this pond, but air that is enriched with a small amount of hydrogen sulfide vapor and clear lake water have a beneficial effect on the state of the human nervous system. Therefore, to visit this lake is not only due to idle curiosity, but also to improve your health.

    3. The city of Yaremche is considered to be the gateway to the Carpathians. Through this small district center lies the way of tourists to Hoverla, Mount Pop Ivan, Gutem Tomnatek, the beautiful lakes of Nesamovite and Svityaz. Often Yaremche becomes the starting point of all mountain ascents.
