Temporary homes for the homeless
According to the estimates of the CHRN, which deals with research on homelessness in Canada, thousands of homeless people stay in this rather socially protected country every day. Only in Toronto, there are about 30,000 such people.
Designers from the studio IK-Studio, together with CHRN, have launched a project to install inexpensive and relatively cheap temporary houses for the homeless in Toronto. In fact, the project called APoC is difficult to call home in the version to which we are accustomed. Rather, it is a temporary capsule of a spherical shape that is easily transported and will allow a homeless person to feel protected for a while. In parallel, the capsule can also be used by passers-by. An alternative option to raise awareness about the difficulties of the homeless.
