Sorochinskaya Fair

The Sorochinsky Fair, thanks to the work of Nikolai Gogol, became a kind of the personification of Ukrainian culture and traditions. The field of the Sorochinskaya Fair was one of the largest fair and exhibition places in Ukraine. Here you could buy unique and scarce things. Passed this action at least five times a year.

The fame of the Sorochinskaya Fair has long exceeded the borders of Ukraine, millions of foreign visitors visit this unique event. Nowadays the fair is held once a year, in August. Arriving in Sorochintsy, guests can purchase various souvenirs made by the best national craftsmen of Ukraine, as well as get acquainted with the traditions of the Ukrainian people in the folklore and ethnographic zone. On the territory of the fair you can see mock-ups of traditional windmills, wooden huts and other buildings. Also, guests are strongly advised to look at the Farm near Dikanka, see the theatrical performance and completely immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the cheerful life of the farm.
