Dzharylgach Island

Uninhabited island - so you can say about this protected place, washed by the Black Sea waters. Jarylgach is separated from the land by a narrow strait, which is sometimes filled with sand. From a bird's eye view, the island looks like an elongated strip.

This land site is second longest in Ukraine - 42 km]. But in width it reaches only 4.8 kilometers.

Dzharylgach is a Turkic name, which in translation means "burnt trees". With the onset of the summer season, tourists appear on the island, plying boats run.But when the cold comes, vacationers leave.

The local flora and fauna attract the most tourists. A rare steppe, meadow, marsh vegetation, swans, gulls, and even a satyr included in the Red Book.

Decorates the islandA 24-meter lighthouse, designed by one of the students of the author of the famous Eiffel Tower. It was made in Paris and installed in the early 20th century.

There are many braids on the island. Near one of them is a pier, thanks to which there is a message with the land. True, in winter time, regular transport does not run - you can negotiate with ferrymen with local boatmen.
