St. Michael's Cathedral
St. Michael's Cathedral is located on Ilyina Street, 212. Go inside the temple, and you will see how beautiful the interior of the temple. Attracting a sight artfully hand-painted ceilings and walls. The illusion of magical light creates light that penetrates through the windows located in the upper tier of the cathedral.
In the courtyard, parishioners have the opportunity to rest and reflect on life, conveniently located in the gazebo. Nearby is a monument to a monk who kneels at a broken bell. The old park near the cathedral beckons with coolness and silence.
The temple was built according to the project of Vladyka Safronii, who in his youth worked as a builder, and in the years of his ministry he built the famous Holy Protection Church in the city of Borispol. Vladyka, not having a special architectural education, built St. Michael's Cathedral, which became the largest in Ukraine. The height of the temple is 72 meters, width - 53, and length - 58 meters. In the future, it is planned to erect a bell tower, whose height will be more than one hundred meters.
The construction of the cathedral was carried out on the donations of parishioners. Thanks to the efforts of a huge number of people, on August 9, 2002 in the Pervomaisky Park the Cathedral was lit in honor of the Holy Archangel Michael of God. At the solemn ceremony, five Orthodox metropolitans and twenty bishops from around the world arrived.
All tourists should definitely visit this amazing place, filled with peace and harmony. You can get to the St. Michael's Cathedral by bus, which follows the Pervomaisky Park.
