Archaeological Museum Dobranichevskaya parking

In the Yahotynsky district of the Kiev region there is a small village of Dobranichevka with its size, but of great significance. In the middle of the 20th century, when the road through the village was laid, workers began to find incredible sizes of bone, skull, and tusks. It attracted archaeologists. During the excavations, economic and household complexes were discovered, which were similar to a dwelling of round shape with a socle made of the bones of ancient animals, including mammoths. Pits, warehouses, fireplaces, places for processing tools and tools were also found. Given the location of finds and ancient dwellings, a circle looms over which they were located with an unoccupied square in the center. It was a unique find, a real treasure for archaeologists. Thus, in 1977 on the site of excavations the museum "Dobranichevskaya parking" was opened. In his circles, he is known throughout the world. This is actually the only place in Ukraine that tells us about those times.

Long ago, back in the Paleolithic era, our ancestors hunted reindeer, wolves, bears and mammoths. The latter were the most valuable because of their size, because hunting brought people food, dressed them. People lived in tribes and hunted in groups too. Mammoths were of impressive size, and when they landed in a well-camouflaged pit, the tribe attacked the animal with spears, axes and other tools that were made of silicon and smoky topaz. Tusks and bones of mammoths also served as a wonderful material for tools, horn-shaped tools made from horns of reindeer and much more. This all happened about 12 thousand years ago, but even then the first steps of art were born. Stylized women's figurines were made of amber. Although hunting for mammoths was conducted in groups, but families were already being formed, each had its own household life.

In the center of the museum there is a dwelling of primitive people with its pits, pantry, economic center and a fireplace, where once our ancestors so gently supported the fire. All this in a somewhat chaotic form, because time has made its own adjustments. Also in the museum are the canvases of the artist Nikolai Malinka, which as a panorama depict those times. In general, the museum has about 250 exhibits. In the windows you can see the finds of stone, bones and amber. Do not neglect the small town and visit the prehistoric habitat of our ancestors - the "Dobranichevskaya parking".
