Havana Bridge

The construction of the new Havana Bridge was due to the need to unload the transport routes connecting Obolon, Troyeschina and Vygurivshchina with the center of Kiev. The opening of the first stage of the bridge took place in 2007, a movement was opened in one direction from Naberezhno-Khreschatytska Street to Obolon. Two-way traffic along the Havana Bridge was officially opened at the end of 2010, connecting Rybalsky Island with Podol.

The bridge is 380 meters long, 35 meters wide, supporting its six supporting pylons.

The name of the Havana Bridge is connected with its location, it is located in the place where the Harbor joins the Dnieper. He replaced the old cable-stayed bridge, which was closed due to an emergency condition.

The original decision to use archesunder the Havana bridge was taken by the city authorities. In the spacious premises under the bridge opened the gallery "Art-pier", where art works by various masters are presented. The walls of the gallery abound with original graffiti, which emphasizes the originality of this place. The entrance for visitors is free. The nearest metro stations are Podol: Pochtovaya Ploshcha and Kontraktova Ploscha.
