The world's best resort hotel in the Maldives

I have a birthday with my wife in one day. It has already become a tradition to leave this day somewhere abroad. Last year we celebrated in Lebanon, a year earlier in Berlin, and this year I could not decide for a very long time where to go. My beloved very much wanted to "at sea", but I strongly opposed it - I do not like beach rest. A week before the birthday, the question arose sharply and it was necessary to solve something. The main search criteria were & quot; sea & quot; and & quot; direct flight & quot; - I did not want to spend a day on transplantation. I remembered that I had repeatedly seen the advertising of direct flights of Transaero to all sorts of exotic places on the way to Domodedovo and climbed up to them on the site. The first thing that caught my eye, the Maldives, and the ticket price was cheaper than to London, despite the fact that flying 2 times longer. Never before had I been in the Canaries, Seychelles, Bali, Maldives, or any other similar islands, so I had no experience in choosing a resort hotel. I called my friend from St. Petersburg, who had already visited the Maldives a couple of times, and asked me to advise the hotel. My friend Maxim is a "guy uneasy" and, of course, he advised the most steep hotel in the Maldives, "One & Only". Looking ahead I will say that this is really the best hotel in the Maldives, and, perhaps, in the whole world, if you do not take private exclusive villas & hellip;

The charm of One & Only is that here you are practically alone. For example, on this beach there are 10 villas, each of which has 2 people, that is, on this paradise beach with palm trees both from advertising Bounty and a small white sand can simultaneously be a maximum of 20 people. In fact, they all sit near their villas, each of which is separated from the neighboring dense wall from the thickets, and the beach goes out once a couple of hours to swim, or even prefer to splash in your own pool: /p>

Such deserted beaches on the island are 15 pieces:

The water in the Maldives is transparent, emerald and warm. Even at night it's a pleasure to go into the water and do not have to stand for 5 minutes and adjust yourself before diving:

This island is almost entirely artificial, and in the jungle there are paths for electric buggies that take guests to their villas:

At night, all tracks are highlighted:

All villas on the island are divided into 2 types - Beach Villa and Water Villa. Near the majority of beach villas there is a private pool, a couple of sun beds, a hammock and a piece of beach at least 50 meters wide:

However, we lived in the Water Villa. I have repeatedly told that after watching the first part of the XXX film with Vin Diesel, I have a dream to get to Bora Bora. Remember, he at the end of the movie sits on his Water Villa in front of the emerald ocean? In general, the Maldives turned out even better, and now I stopped dreaming about Bora-Bora. We lived here in such a house on stilts. And, if in other Maldives resorts similar houses are built in line next to each other, then on One & Only all the houses are grouped in 4 pieces and built in such a way that the neighbors do not see each other at all. That is, we always walked and sunbathed in our villa absolutely naked, not being afraid to be seen from neighboring villas or from the shore:

There was a ladder down from the deck chairs, and the depth was about sixty meters, that is, I could stand on tiptoe at the bottom:

Food could be ordered directly & quot; in the room & quot; and snack with ocean views:

A safety net was laid around the house, on which it was possible to lie around and sunbathe:

And inside the house was divided into 2 zones - one was a bed:

And, from the bed the view was opened to the ocean, and we always slept with fully open doors:

And the second zone was given for the wardrobe and bathroom:

All the attendants knew that we had a birthday on November 13. Congratulations began at breakfast. Every buggy driver or waiter knew from what number we were and that we had a birthday in one day. And at night we were decorated with a bed of orchids:

The hotel has 3 restaurants. Each with ocean view:

At night, sharks come to restaurants, which are fed up here. This is an akulu-nanny and it is absolutely safe for people, so you can bathe without fear (shot on iPhone):

Sometimes the chefs organized culinary shows, for example, the chef from Italy Giorgio Lokatelli, who came to the hotel on tour, gave a master class on pizza making:

Free dive and snorkeling equipment, as well as a huge number of different kayaks, water skis and surfers are available for free:

There are even 2 badminton courts:

Underwater life of the Maldives deserves a separate post, but photographing underwater is an art that I do not own, so I'll show you just a couple of pictures for a general presentation:

One more nanny-shark:

A lot of giant turtles:

From the air, the Maldives look like something unearthly. It's hard to believe that somewhere in the middle of the ocean, 1190 islands came out of the water on a meter, of which 200 are inhabited:

Anticipating a huge number of questions about the cost of the hotel, I want to send everyone at once to the site at: http://reethirah.oneandonlyresorts.com. If you are going to rest here, please note that in this hotel every "chick" costs a minimum of 20 dollars, and the price of alcohol is higher than the European average by 3 times, so expect that you will spend about $ 1000 per day for dinners, dinners, drinks and a spa for two & hellip; Stay Tuned!
