Festival Las Fallas in Spanish Valencia
This festival has more than five centuries and each next holiday has its differences, despite the fact that the program of this annual event is unchanged and concludes with the traditional burning of giant sculptures from papier mache.
The festival itself is dedicated to St. Joseph, who is the patron of carpenters and carpenters. Actually, hence the tradition of burning. Masters of wooden cases have accumulated a huge amount of scraps and crumbs of wood, so they set up a grandiose arson of these very remnants. Today, no one burns any chips. Giant papier-mache sculptures are created, which depict famous characters from life, cinema, books and mythology, which are then burned safely in the finale. Naturally, this happens on the last day of the festival, and before that there are parades, bullfights, theatrical performances and just people walking. Yesterday the festival of Las Fallas & raquo; (Las Fallas) was successfully completed.
