Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Cherkasy Tishki
The church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, restrained in its architecture, is located near Kharkov in the village of Cherkasskie Tishki and dates back to 1830. The history of the church begins in 1772, when there was a small wooden church on the site of the present building.
The stone temple was built with the money of the landowner A. Tikotsky and the faithful parishioners.

Some icons for the temple were written by I. Repin, who at that time was an art student academy. The descendants of A. Tikhotsky continued the work of his grandfather. They contributed to the expansion of the shrine, which took place in 1906. During the Soviet era, the church was closed and suffered great damage. A bell tower and a dome were destroyed in the church.Despite the difficult years of the war, in 1944 the community achieved the opening of the church. Since that moment, the worship has been conducted in her to this day. By the 180th anniversary of the temple in 2010, there was a Sunday school open.
