Holy Trinity Church, Brody

The town of Brody, which is located in the north-east of Lviv region, is famous for its many sights. One such is the Church of the Holy Trinity. Outwardly, it practically does not differ from the typical tridile architecture of Galicia, but uniqueness in different iconostaseswill immediately allocate it among other structures.

History of the Church of the Holy Trinity

The Church of the Holy Trinity was built in 1744, survived for its history, not one restoration. The main throne with a unique icon of the Holy Trinity was established in 1829. Since the 1960s, the church has been rebuilt as a club. In 1994, the church is undergoing a new reconstruction. Inside and outside it is restored according to the project of the author B. Kindzel. According to his idea, a new iconostasis was installed using the individual elements of the old (18th century). At the moment the church is considered a Greek Catholic church.

In the courtyard, next to the church, there is a bell tower, represented in the same wooden style. A simple and at the same time rather unique architecture makes an accent on the Ukrainian national culture. The atmosphere that the church keeps reflects the mood and spirit of the experiences. Small in size, but huge in the spaciousness of the deep history, she will share her treasures with each member of the congregation.

What else worth visiting in Brody

Near the church are the Church of the Exaltation of the Cross of the Lord and the Church of St. Jura. Particular attention should be paid to the Brodovsky Castle and the Museum of Local History.
