The pedestrian bridge in Uzhhorod is the most popular place for citizens and visitors of the city. This bridge connects two embankments - Studencheskaya and Nezavisimosti, which is the longest in EuropeLipovaya alley. The bridge is a symbol of love and fulfillment of desires.

There is such a beliefthat crossing this bridge for the first time from the "new" city to "old", it is necessary to make a wish and it will certainly come true. Lovers hang on the railing of the pedestrian bridge castles with names as a token of loyalty and strength of their relations, and the keys are thrown into the river Uzh passing under the bridge.

The bridge has its own history, which began back in the late 19th century. Then for the first time a wooden bridgewas erected over the river. Standing this building is not long. The fast waters of the river soon turned it into chips.

After some time, in its place appeared a metal structure, through which even passed the transport. And already in the post-war time on this site it was decided to erect a stone bridge, which can be seen now.
