Black Mountain reserve

The "Black Mountain" reserve consists of eight large parts, divided into five forest tracts, two mountains and one valley. The boundaries of the reserve densely pass with the state borders of Romania and Hungary, from which the river Tisza separates. The total area of the entire reserve is more than 820 hectares, which is an insurmountable scale for a one day excursion.

Special attention should be paid to the Montenegrin Massif, on which the mountain of the same name is located. This mountain is considered a unique natural unit, since a 560-meter high is formed among the absolute plain. Only on one of the four sides does it move into the mountain range. Presumably, the origin of the mountain is associated with a volcanic eruption of a thousand years ago. The rich flora and fauna of the reserve amazes any imagination. There are oak and beech forests, spruce, dozens of species of wild animals, a large number of spineless.

The most picturesque place of the reserve is the daffodil valley. Its popularity is explained by the most beautiful landscapes, which open with the beginning of the flowering of these flowers. Magnificent backgrounds are formed from carpets of fragrant wild narcissuses. Nearby you can visit the outstanding national nature park "Sinevir".
