The History of Trojan Brand2 photos
Merle Youngs founded the Youngs Rubber Company in the 19th century, which later developed the Trojan brand. Established in 1920, this brand has a history spanning nearly a century and is associated with America's earliest condoms. With its long-standing reputation for quality, Trojan has become one of the most popular condom brands in the United States.
Initially, Trojan condoms were promoted solely as a means of protection against sexually transmitted diseases. It wasn't until seven years after their introduction that their first serious advertisement appeared, appearing in specialized pharmaceutical journals. Over time, Trojan expanded its marketing efforts to include promoting them as a contraceptive method and as a way to enhance sexual experience.
Today, Trojan is owned by Church & Dwight Company and continues to enjoy widespread popularity among consumers. Despite changes in ownership, the brand's commitment to quality remains unwavering.
