These flowers are completely real, even though they look like artificially colored ones made with crayons. They were «invented» by designer Peter Van de Werken, owner of a flower company in southern Netherlands.
These unusual roses get their color because paint is injected into their stems while they are still growing, and then it is absorbed by the petals. This is a very time-consuming and meticulous process.
