Moskovsky Prospekt, formerly Moskovskaya Street, No. 6
The building of the “Modern” cinema (architect: M. Dikansky) belonged to the architect’s family. In 1912, the Technical Department of the provincial government granted permission to convert it into a cinema (as stated in A. Yu. Leibfried’s catalog). For some time, this building housed a satire theater; later, it became the “Modern” cinema and then the “Komintern” cinema (see photos). Like No. 4, house No. 6 was destroyed during the first bombings of the city.
