#### Cocktail Kir Royal ##### This cocktail is one of the many variations of the famous Burgundian drink Kir, but in this case, dry wine is replaced by classic champagne. ##### The recipe for this cocktail originated during World War II, when the fascists confiscated all the red wines stored in French wineries. As a result, the French had no other choice but to rely on blackcurrant liqueur and dry sparkling wine. It was then that Felix Kir, the mayor of Dijon, had the idea that combining these two beverages in the right proportions could create a much more delicious drink than either of them alone. And he was right: Kir Royal became incredibly popular not only in his hometown of Dijon but also far beyond France’s borders. Thanks to its success, this cocktail acquired the name of its creator. ##### Required tools: glass coupe, cocktail spoon. ##### Required ingredients: * 20 ml blackcurrant liqueur * 130 ml dry sparkling wine. ##### Preparation method: 1) Pour 20 ml of blackcurrant liqueur into a chilled glass coupe. 2) Add 130 ml of dry sparkling wine. 3) Stir carefully with a cocktail spoon.
