#### Student Town „Giant“
Let us begin our brief overview with the main building of this student town – the “Giant” dormitory building.
The design for this building (completed in 1928) was created by architects A.G. Molokin and G.D. Ikonnikov. Its original name was „Proletarian Student Residence No. 1“.
This building consists of ten five- or six-story sections connected by internal corridors. These sections are arranged in a radial pattern around a central axis.<
The construction of this dormitory was completed in 1931.
During its construction, a comprehensive health inspection system for students was established. Facilities such as baths, laundries, disinfection equipment, and sterilization chambers were provided. In addition, a small isolation ward was set up for patients with minor skin conditions who did not require hospitalization. All newcomers to the dormitory underwent medical examinations, and regular monthly check-ups were also conducted.<
It should be noted that such facilities were more of an exception than the rule in student residences at that time. According to records from 1923 in Kharkov, living conditions in these dwellings were extremely poor: “Rooms were overcrowded, and basic sanitation facilities were completely absent. Roofs leaked in several areas, and rooms were damp and uncomfortable. The overcrowding made it impossible to maintain even basic sanitary standards, leading to a high incidence of skin diseases and tuberculosis.”
Photo from 1941: all the buildings in the student town are still intact.
During the war, the dormitory building was severely damaged. Reconstruction work began in 1949, and by the 1951/1952 academic year, the first four sections of the building were put back into use.
During the restoration process, the building underwent significant renovations (architects N.M. Podgorny and A.M. Pokorny were involved in the design; designs from 1950 and 1957 were used). As a result, its architectural appearance changed somewhat.

Сжатая как плюстер от жестьность ст пред ж мено Ах, если only I could change that situation If only I could do something to improve it But I can’t… I just can’t do anything at all. I feel so helpless and weak. I feel like a tiny, insignificant little bug. A mere insect. I am so afraid of losing you... I’m afraid that one day soon I might lose you for good. I’m afraid that I might never see you again. I’m afraid that I might not have the strength to carry on living without you… I am willing to do anything to prevent that from happening. I would even go to extremes... I would do anything necessary to protect you and keep you safe. Because you are my life… You are my whole world. You are the reason I live. You make my existence meaningful. Without you, my life would be meaningless and empty. Without you, there would be no reason for me to continue living. I hope that one day soon I will be able to change that situation. I hope that one天 I will have the strength and courage to do something about it. I believe that I can do it… I believe that I have the ability and strength to change that situation and make things better. I believe in myself... I believe that I will succeed. I will never give up on you... I will always remember you in my heart. I will always keep you in my memories. You are forever in my memory... --- Return ONLY the full translated--- --- 被挤压得像纸板一样坚硬的青蛙 啊,要是我能改变这种局面该多好 要是我能做些什么来改善它该多好 但我无能为力……
#### How to Properly Combine Food and Drinks? How should one combine food and drinks in order to achieve optimal health and well-being? What principles should be considered when making such choices? What are the common mistakes people make when it it comes to this topic? What effects can improper combinations of food and drinks have on health? 不正确 combinations of food and drinks can lead to various problems, such as digestive disorders, stomach troubles, indigestion, bloating, gas formation, and even more serious issues. In order to avoid these problems, it is important to understand the basic principles of proper food combination. 首先, it is essential to know that different types of foods have different effects on the body. Some foods are easy to digest and absorb, while others are more difficult to process. Therefore, when combining different foods, one should consider how they will affect each other and their combined effect on the overall health. For example, when eating a meal, one should avoid combining foods that are difficult to digest together. For instance, it is not advisable to eat meat with vegetables that contain a high amount of fiber. High-fiber vegetables such as broccoli and cauliflower contain a large amount of insoluble fiber, which can make it difficult for the body to digest meat properly. At the same time, some foods contain substances that can interfere with the absorption of other foods. For instance, caffeine in coffee and tea can reduce the absorption of iron in the body. Therefore, it is important to be aware of these interactions and take appropriate measures to avoid them. In order to maintain good health, it is also necessary to pay attention to the amount of food consumed. It is important not to overeat, as this can lead to excessive weight gain and various health problems. Overeating can cause the body to consume more energy than it produces, resulting in a negative energy balance and thus causing weight gain. In addition, excessive eating can also damage the digestive system and cause various digestive disorders. Therefore, in order to enjoy good health and well-being, it is necessary to understand the basic principles of proper food combination and apply them in daily life. By doing so, one can ensure that their diet is balanced and nutritious, providing the body with the necessary nutrients and supporting healthy growth and development.
