The World Square

The shape of the World Square was formed in the 19-20 centuries. This is a real European square. A walk here will give you the feeling of traveling to Old Europe. The overall style of the whole area is secession. An ancient paving stone gives the area a romantic halo. It's quiet and cozy here. Better places for unhurried walksnot found.

On the square of the world are located one of the most interesting attractionsMukacheve. On the small triangle of the square stands the cathedral of St. Martin. Nearby is the Gothic chapel of St. Joseph, built in the 16th century. It is very interesting to observe the difference in the architecture of these buildings, to enjoy the intricate ideas of their creators. There are several monuments on the square. For example, a monument to Cyril and Methodius and a monument to the liberators of Transcarpathia from the fascist invaders. The main architectural pearl of the square is the City Hall, built in 1904.

There are many green spacesin the square. Together with the fantastic architecture they create a unique relaxing landscape. In the shade of the trees you can hide in the summer heat, and in the autumn enjoy the golden shades of falling leaves.

Everyone must visit here at least once. After all, in the Square of the World, the traditions of Europe and Ukraine harmoniously united. Very often, various festivals and concerts are held here.
