The history of cheese originates in the distant past. Mankind uses this product for about 10 thousand years, and during this time cheese has become one of the most popular and favorite foods. There is a huge amount of cheese varieties, which are different in taste and aroma, have a different shape and consistency.

The process of cheese ripening is long & ndash; from a month to several years. If you want to see the whole process of making cheese, then you should visit the private cheese factoryin the village of Nizhny Selishche, in Transcarpathia in the Khust district.

Perhaps, this is almost the only place in Ukraine, where cheese production on Swiss technologywithout the use of preservatives and flavors. Milk, purchased only from local residents, is monitored daily, which guarantees purity of the product and high quality. The owner of the dairy, Peter Prigar, was trained in Switzerland. Skills and lessons learned have helped to achieve excellent results & ndash; cheeses of the Selisk cheese-making plant became known throughout Ukraine.

Three kinds of cheese are made here:Two semi-solid cheeses & ndash; & laquo; Celica & raquo; and "Narcis Carpathian & raquo ;, and one soft cheese & ndash; & laquo; Hust & raquo ;. For the visitors there are guided tours, where you will be told everything about the production process with a visit to the cellars, where the cheese ripens. You will also be able to taste the cheesesin combination with the beautiful wine. There you can buy cheese you liked.

There is a unique place not so far from Nizhny Selisha & ndash; Valley of the Daffodils, which affects the flowering of fragrant flowers.
