Shcherbina's House (Wedding Palace)

The most elegant mansion of the 19th century, which reached us in almost original form, is the estate of the landowner Shcherbina, who earned his fortune on the construction of the railway. The structure is surprising with the refinement of forms, the richness of delicate decor and architectural ease. Thought the estate with entrances to both sides, exquisite cornices, arches and a colonnade. The house passed from hand to hand. First it housed the Zemstvo Board, then the Revolutionary Committee.

The house passed from hand to hand. First it housed the Zemstvo Board, then the Revolutionary Committee. Further the estate passed to the Soviet of Workers' Deputies, then the House of Pioneers settled here. In the fifties of the nineteenth century, the party was built in the estate, and in 1970 - acquired the status of the Palace of Marriage, the place where hearts are connected, which is still the case. Changes occurred with the estate, but the house was practically not damaged, except for a new entrance door.

Now the house is equipped with illumination at night and is one of the five most brightly lit buildings in Ukraine.
