Local History Museum, Chortkov

In the historical center of the town of Chortkiv there is a local history museum, opened in 1976. The museum is in a beautiful modern building. Museum expositions number more than 11,000 different exhibits.

Museum expositions number more than 11,000 different exhibits. Each of them is a part of its epoch and carries certain information about that period of time.

The museum building occupies two floors. Its exterior design is made in the style of modern urban buildings. The archaeological finds presented in the museum acquaint visitors with the peculiarities of the culture of people who lived here before and with ancient kinds of crafts and crafts. Individual exhibits show local flora and fauna. Also in the museum of local lore there is an exposition dedicated to the heroic struggle of the Ukrainian troops on the territory of the region.
