Church of All Saints, Nikolaev
It was built for the charitable funds of admirals, local merchants and petty bourgeois. The church was consecrated a year after the construction began.
The church was located near the old cemetery of the city. In architectural terms - this is a one-story building, made of stone in the form of a cross. Above the entrance there is a bell tower. The temple holds up to 500 believers at a time. In the crypt at the church buried town planner and founder Nikolayev M. Faleyev. Not far from the temple is the crypt of the founder of the Kharkov University V. Karazin. In 1858, with the support of local merchants, the church was expanded.
The Church of All Saints is the only temple in all Nikolaev that has never been closed. Therefore, the building retained its original architectural appearance. Also in Soviet times, the temple contained many valuable icons that were saved from other cathedrals. For many years, this church has been the main place of comfort for all residents of the city.
