Church of St. John Chrysostom, Glade
The Church of St. John Chrysostom in the village of Polyana refers to the Ukrainian Greek-Catholic Patriarchate. It is located on the territory of an ancient cemetery, where the main attraction is the unusual tombstones and tombs, preserved from the 18th century.
The church itself was built in the 1770sin the style of classicism with the typical architecture of Greek crosses and decorative decorations of the facade. On the walls you can see interesting deepenings with sculptures of mythological heroes. Visiting card is the bell tower, which was preserved in its original form. Its beautiful arches are the entrance to the church.
Since the beginning of the 19th century the church was used as a parish school, in the 20th century the church was closed for a long time. Today the temple is restored and continues to operate, it is easy to notice - the historical building is located on the top of a hill, far from the rural streets.
