Galicia Square, Lviv
It is noteworthy that Galicia Square is one of the youngest in old Lviv. Being upset since the 13th century, it constantly became the center of life of the ancient city.
It is interesting that the name of the area is due to the salt route. White gold was brought to the city from Galich, the path to which began from the modern Galician Square.

Mini-park in the square is alive today. Now he surrounds the monument to Danilo Galitsky and a large number of cafes located nearby.
With special respect, the townspeople refer to the fountain to the right of the monument to the Galician prince. This place is considered to be namolennym. Many centuries ago a wooden church of the Holy Cross stood on the fountain's place. Despite the huge number of fires and sieges, this small church was always restored, up to the 18th century.
