Museum-Estate of Lesya Ukrainka

For lovers of creativity of the outstanding Ukrainian writer Lesya Ukrainka, the Kosach Family Estate Museum opens its doors. The museum has recently been completely restoredand now meets the highest European standards.

In the Kolodyazhnoe family of the poetess moved in 1822. The farmstead immediately became the most beloved, truly home, place for the whole family. In this house, Lesya Ukrainka spent the best years of her life - carefree childhood and adolescence. It was here that she wrote her first works. And the beauty of the local places forever appeared in the poet's work. And now in this house is located one of the most amazing museums.

The museum consists of several rooms. The first hall acquaints us with the writer's family. The walls of the hall housed photographs from the family archive of the Kosach family. It should be noted that the parents of Lesya Ukrainka were also very famous and talented people. In another room are exhibited personal belongings of the poetess: clothes, notes, collections of poems. There is also an exposition of the household equipment of the Kosach family. All this helps to better know the writer and her work.
