House The Seasons

The architecture of many old houses can tell about the purpose of the building and its history. Decorated facades, statues and signs were often bearers of secret meaning. But do not look for puzzles where everything is clear.

One of the brightest picturesque buildings is the house "Seasons", located in the center of old Lviv.

Walking the streets of the city,look upto the skymore often, because the most beautiful patterns and ornaments, original weaving, columns and even pictures are located at the top. On different floors of the house "Four Seasons" there are sculptures of zodiac signs, harbingers of the spring are the storks, masks of the four winds. But its name was given to thehouse in honor of theallegorical images of theseasons. The symbol of spring is "plowing", "harvest" embodies summer, for the autumn period - "cleaning of flax", and "wedding feast" in winter.
