Monument of Eternal Glory
One of the main monuments of the city of Dnepropetrovsk is the monument of Eternal Glory, dedicated to the soldiers-partisans and underground fighters who died during the Great Patriotic War. In the center of the memorial complex are figures of Soviet heroes, carved from white stone. A titanium figure of a young woman with a wreath on her head, which represents Motherland, is set on a granite eminence.
In her right hand she holds a torch, and in the left hand she holds a palm branch. The authors of the monument are architects E. Yu. Cherkasov and A. A. Maksimenko, sculptors MF Ovsyankin and VI Agibalov.
