Elena Kulchitskaya Art and Memorial Museum

The museum of Lviv artist Elena Kulchytska is located in a four-room apartment where she lived and worked. It was opened in 2007 to its 130th anniversary. In the museum there is a personal room of the artist, in which photos, documents are stored.

In the museum there is a personal room of the artist, in which are stored photographs and documents. Her works are exhibited: painting, graphics, portraits, landscapes, decorative items.

Elena Kulchitskaya was a versatile artist. The apartment-museum has furniture, created for its projects, embroideries on religious themes.

Together with her sister Olga Kulchytska, master of arts and crafts, Elena was fond of carpet weaving: the museum has a small loom. Also, visitors can see a collection of ceramics, which the artist collected, enthusiastic folk art.

The Vienna period of creativity of Elena Kulchytska is represented by enamels. In fact, she revived this technique in Ukraine. The artist created exquisite works in the style of modernity - the triptych "Folk Art", "The Seasons", elegant female jewelry. For the copper box, decorated with enamel, she received in 1907 the highest award of the Chamber of Commerce in Vienna.

In Ukraine, for her work, Elena Kulchitskaya was awarded the title of People's Artist.
