Burj Al Arab - the most luxurious hotel in the world
Burj Al Arab, popularly known as the Sail, is the most expensive and luxurious hotel in the world.

There are no ordinary numbers. All 202 rooms are suites. All rooms are two-storeyed, and the area of the smallest is 170 square meters. m., and the largest - 780 square meters. m. The night in the cheapest room will cost you $ 1,500. This is the first seven-star hotel in the world, and in combination it is a symbol of Dubai. I lived in many expensive hotels, but this one struck me. It really differs from all the others ... Before the crisis, the number in Burj Al Arab had to be ordered at least for six months. Now we managed to book a wonderful room a week before the arrival ... Sheikh Mohamed - the ruler of Dubai - understood that for the development of tourism his Emirate needed a recognizable symbol. Same as the Eiffel Tower in Paris or the Statue of Liberty in New York. For these purposes he hired the English architect Tom Wright. The idea to build a hotel in the shape of Sails came to him by accident. He was sitting in a bar and drinking beer. The Arabian boat Dow sailed past the windows. Tom exclaimed: "Eureka!" Here is a simple and recognizable form that even a child can paint! & Quot; It's simply impossible to get to Burj Al Arab. He stands on an artificial island and connects it to the ground by a bridge, at the beginning of which a checkpoint with guards:

Even when we lived in a previous hotel and booked a city tour, we had 2 options: just a city tour - $ 55 per person, or a tea-tour to Burj Al Arab - $ 175. We then refused tea and cookies for 120 dollars. There are many restaurants in Sails. If you order a table in them, the security will check the list and you will be missed in the hotel lobby. By the way, there are always groups of tourists with cameras and open mouths. Entering the hotel, you will face the staircase with two escalators on each side. The fountain periodically begins to play, spitting with short streams of water:

The registration process at the hotel is very simple. You give your passport to the employee, and you sit on the couch, eat dates and drink coffee. I do not drink coffee, and I was offered a wonderful hot drink of ginger, lemon juice and honey:

All restaurants and elevators are located on the floor above, where you need to climb the escalator. In the wall next to them, two large aquariums hid:

There is one more playing fountain at the top. This photo looks at the escalators:

The world's tallest hotel lobby is 180 meters in Burj Al Arab. The hotel itself is triangular, and the white side, which is usually visible from the outside, from the inside really looks like a taut sail:

If you head up, you will see a kaleidoscope:

Each next floor is a bit narrower than the previous one. Corridors are not even, but with convex sides. The color of the ceiling varies from floor to floor. The impression is surrealism. This is the corridor of our floor. It is difficult to immediately understand where here that - take a look:

Each floor has its own reception and concierge, so that guests could be more comfortable. You will always be met at the elevator and spend up to the room. But the butler always jokes, is interested in how the day went by, in short, the courtesy itself. Therefore, walking along this corridor is not terrible. The fence is very convex and wide. Down simply so it is impossible to look. To make the next photo I had to hold the camera on outstretched hands. Above the lobby it seems tiny:

I usually try not to order standard numbers. A bit overpaid, you can get a much better number and a more attentive attitude to yourself. We ordered a Panoramic Suite of 225 square meters. Panoramic rooms are larger than the rest on the floor and look directly to 2 sides. Here is the evacuation plan from our room. It is indicated in green. By the way, the plan hangs in a golden frame:

There are 27 floors in the hotel. We asked for a room higher, and we settled on the 14th floor, but do not forget that each floor consists of two. Opening the door, we saw the following picture:

The staircase went up to the bedroom, and the front desk. Each room is equipped with a laptop, fax machine, copier and color printer. Here's the look in the opposite direction:

The door to us was opened by a girl who came here with us from the lobby. In the room, she handed us to our personal butler. He treated us with orange juice and gave us an excursion. Started from the first floor:

Almost all space is occupied by a large living room:

The room has speakers with a cradle for ipod, and the whole technique is controlled from the AMX panel:

The TV is covered with gold armor. In general, 8,000 square meters of gold leaf were used in the construction of the hotel:

While we were walking along the floors, the vase with fruit was much cleaned up by the younger generation. Every time we left the room, even for 5 minutes, it was miraculously replenished with new fruits:

There is also a pantry and a guest toilet:

On the second floor there is a bedroom:

A big mirror hangs over the bed. That's how it looks in the afternoon ...

The TV leaves the TV with the help of the remote:

The console deserves special attention. I liked the button & quot; Call the butler & quot ;. Also with the help of this console you can open/close the blinds, light a light bulb & quot; do not disturb & quot; and even open the front door - not to run down ...

Well, of course, there is a huge bathroom at the top with a Jacuzzi:

Bathroom & quot; inlaid & quot; full-size cosmetics from Hermes. Male line with black lids, and female with white. Butler said that we can take all the cosmetics with us, which we did. Also, he & quot; allowed & quot; slippers and a great beach bag:

During the tour our suitcases were brought. I was completely overwhelmed by the butler question: "Is it convenient for you that I right now dismantled your suitcases?" I hesitated a little, and then said: "Convenient!". He dismantled all the suitcases, neatly laid them out on the shelves, and took the dirty laundry with him to the wash:

From the window a view of the neighboring hotel Jumeirah Beach opened:

When I woke up the next morning, I did not recognize the landscape. We were above the clouds, and the flags of the neighboring hotel could barely glimpse through the clouds:

I could not resist and took a photo "The World at My Feet":
