This definition is very controversial, but most tend to believe that Georgia is the shortest river in the world. To be more precise, it is located on the territory of Abkhazia, a disputed territory that for a long time belonged to Georgia.

The river is called Reprua and its length is only 18 meters, after which it safely flows into the Black Sea. It is located in the Gagra district. The feeding of the river comes from the waters of karst caves located nearby. Besides the status of the shortest river in the world, Repura is listed on the list of the coldest rivers in the Caucasus.
