Lubart's Castle

The castle of Lubart was built in the 14th century and today is one of the wonders of Ukraine, the pride of Lutsk . This building has been preserved from the time of the principality of Lithuania to our days, practically unchanged, and this is a great rarity. An architectural masterpiece with towers, arches, bridges, ancient cobblestones and pavilions attracts many tourists to this day.

Inside the castle there are several museums and expositions at once. So, being in one place, you can visit the only museum of bells,in Ukraine and an exposition of ancient weapons, most of which was used directly to protect the castle. Visiting such museums costs an average of 10-20 hryvnia. And from the top floor of the tower a wonderful panorama of the city opens.

There are giant chessinstalled in the courtyard of the castle. You can try to play a part or two and make original photos.

Of course, like all castles, Lubart's castle is covered with a set of legends, they say, he even has his ghost. Local people from generation to generation pass on the legend of the girl, whom Prince Lubart ordered to kill for refusing to marry him.
