Aleshkovsky sands

Aleshkovsky sands are the largest sandy massif, which can only be found on the territory of Ukraine. It is of natural origin, huge barrows of sand are formed here, the height of the largest reaches 5 meters. Educated many years ago, the Aleshkovsky sands remain to this day primordial.

The unusual Kherson landmark occupies an area of ​​about 160,000 hectares. In 2010, part of the territory was officially taken under the and National Nature Park. After 1.5 years, an unusual reserve called "Oleshky Sands" began its work.

The young natural park managed to organize a large number of scientific works in just a couple of years of active work. Here researches are conductedearth ecosystems that track the processes of the bio- and zoosphere. A variety of species of animals and insects are protected by the employees of the national park, not only prolonging their life, but also improving its quality.

The tourist profile of the park remains one of the most important for Oleshkovskie sands. Guests are offered to get acquainted with unique plants, forests, sand dunesbewitching scale, and also see dozens of species of wild animals, birds and reptiles living in the park zone.
