The estate of Natal'evka

A peasant Ivan Kharitonenko, who was fabulously rich on sugar, ordered the luxurious manor, which stretched almost 50 hectares. He wished that the manor created by him at the end of the 19th century bears the name of one of his granddaughters and his wife. The farmstead has become an architectural monument.

A magnificent manor, stretching almost 50 hectares, was ordered to erect a peasant Ivan Kharitonenko, who was fabulously rich on sugar-refining. He wished that the manor created by him at the end of the 19th century bears the name of one of his granddaughters and his wife.

The manor became an architectural monument. For its erection, eminent masters were invited. The two-story palace, designed in the style of a Swiss chalet, with its surrounding balcony, became the main decoration of the estate. The park, divided by the river into two parts, was filled with the aromas of oak and pine, the inhabitants of the estate for secular conversations strolled along the chestnut alley ...

Alas, during the Second World War, the magnificent palace was destroyed. And in the Soviet era the estate was nationalized and handed over to the people. Until now, there is a health resort, bearing the name of the nearby village - "Vladimirskaya."

The pearl, which managed to survive in difficult years, was a single-domeSpassky church. This shrine, built in 1913, the masters conceived in the style of ancient Pskov-Novgorod architecture. It housed a magnificent collection of rare icons, which was the pride of the owner.

By the way, if you are in these parts, be sure to visit"singing terraces" .They were laid 10 kilometers from the manor. The cold climatic conditions of Slobozhanshchina did not allow the cultivation of exotic plants, but an original solution was invented: in the form of an arc on the southern slope of the beam, six stone terraces were completed. Thus, plants were able to receive more solar heat. A specific form was reflected in the acoustic features of the area - the singing of birds and the whisper of leaves are amplified by the slightest blow of the wind, reproducing a single harmonious melody.

The farmstead is located 80 km from Kharkov. Get better by your own transport. You can take a bus from Kharkov to Krasnokutsk, but then you'll have to walk about 3 km.
