Monument to Heavenly hundred, Nikolaev
On February 20, 2015 in Mykolaiv, on the anniversary of the events on the Kiev Maydan, the grandiose memorial of the Heavenly Hundred, symbolizing the desire for victory, sacrifice. He was installed in a sign place in the square of Europe on Sadovaya Street. Here already stands one monument, established in 2010, and it is called "United Europe". Its authors are Lviv masters - Honored Artist Sergei Ivanov and sculptor Vladimir Tsisarik, who also worked on a monument dedicated to the Heavenly Hundred. They managed to realize the conceived idea in such a way that from all angles spectators are presented with new and new nuances, not seen before. In the beginning, a monument to Heavenly hundred sculpted from clay, and then cast in bronze.
The idea of the monument: two designs in the form of wings, twisting in a vigorous movement, personify Yin - the substance "earth" and Yang - the substance "heaven." This sculpture became the most grandiose work in all of Ukraine among those that perpetuate the memory of people who died during the Revolution of Dignity. The monument itself, not taking into account the pedestal, heaves up as much as 4 meters. Near the monument were shields with pictures of the fallen Heroes of the Maidan.
Painter Sergei Ivanov explained that the monument represents the resurrection and the struggle for peace. Another author of the work, Vladimir Tsisarik summed up, wishing everyone not to forget the selfless actions of the fallen brave Heavenly Hundreds, not to allow the repetition of these mournful events.
